In the New Testament, we see that appointing elders within the church is crucial for maintaining doctrinal integrity, pastoral care, and church governance. We also see that appointing deacons within the church is crucial for aiding the elders in pastoral and practical care.

Elders are charged with the overall spiritual oversight and leadership of the congregation, ensuring adherence to Scripture and pastoral support. Deacons, at the charge of the elders, focus on serving the practical needs of the church body and mobilizing and activating the members of the body into service, reflecting Christ's service.

Both roles stem from a biblical mandate to equip and shepherd the church faithfully, ensuring her health, unity, and mission in the world.

At Trinity Grace, we believe that the Bible reserves eldership for qualified males and being a deacon for qualified males and females. Seasonally and as need arises, our church appoints elders and/or deacons.
