Lent

The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.

Luke 9:22

Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.

Romans 6:8-9

Join Us in Reflection on Our Lord Jesus’ Sacrificial Death, Even as We Await the Glory of His Resurrection

As we enter the season of Lent, we invite you to reflect deeply on Christ’s journey to the cross—His suffering, death, and victorious resurrection.

At its heart, Lent is not just about a temporary, seasonal practice of self-denial, but about nurturing the spiritual disciplines we need every day—repentance, dependence on Christ, and a heart that longs to know Him more. This season serves as a focused time to grow in these lifelong habits, helping us walk more faithfully with Jesus beyond Lent itself.

Lent calls us to:
  • Repentance & Faith – turning AWAY IN REPENTANCE FROM sin and TURNING BY FAITH TO Jesus as Christ by realigning our hearts with God’s.
  • Self-denial – setting aside comforts or distractions to deepen our reliance on Christ.
  • Renewed devotion – carving out intentional time for prayer, Scripture, and worship.
  • Missional urgency – remembering Christ’s sacrifice so that we might be stirred to share the gospel with others.

This year, we will be using excerpts from John Piper’s Fifty Reasons Jesus Came to Die as our devotional guide. Each day’s reflection will help you meditate on the purpose and significance of Jesus’ sacrifice.

Along with each devotional, you will find two reflection questions:
  • One to take you deeper into personal devotion.
  • One to fan your heart into flame to share the gospel with others.

To participate, simply click on the respective day below.

May this season shape us not only for Lent but for a lifetime of walking closely with Christ!
